Todd Hovland

Todd is a Cofounder, President and Director of EntreBank. Todd was involved with the other 4 Cofounders in all aspects of the Bank’s formation, including the initial capital raise, business plan, board and management team structure and recruitment, charter and regulatory approval and staffing for the new Bank. He has 30 years of banking experience starting out as a teller many years ago.  Todd also served 20 years in an aviation unit the MN Army National Guard and retired in 2008. Todd has a real passion for building long-term relationships and wanting to understand their business and owners that he serves.  He also really enjoys the outdoors with his two boys.

Melissa Johnston

Melissa is a Cofounder of EntreBank and is the Chief Credit Officer and Executive Vice President, chairing the Executive Loan Committee and Marketing Committee. She grew up on a farm in southern Minnesota, earned a Mathematics degree from SDSU and an MBA from Carlson School of Management – U of M. She oversees credit and risk management along with bringing in and serving the bank’s clients. With 20 years of banking experience, primarily in credit analysis and business lending, she is particularly passionate about creating a loan structure that works well for the client and the bank and enjoys long-term relationships with her clients. Her favorite summer activity is coaching her kids’ sports.

Erik Knutson

Erik is one of the five cofounders of EntreBank, and serves as its CFO, CIO, and CTO. He is responsible for the bank’s finances, asset/liability management, cyber security, and daily operations, with more than 30 years of banking experience. With the other four cofounders, he was involved in all aspects of EntreBank’s formation, including the initial capital raise, business plan, board and management team structure and recruitment, charter and regulatory approval, and staffing.

After graduating from Dartmouth College and NYU’s Stern School of Business, Erik started his career with KPMG Peat Marwick in New York City, transferred to Minneapolis, then moved into the banking world with a regional organization, later spending time doing bank mergers and acquisitions.

Like all of EntreBank’s founders and team members, he is passionate about making sure every customer’s experience exceeds their expectations and meets our brand promise

Tim is Cofounder, CEO and Director of EntreBank and Cofounder, President and Director of Entrepreneurs Bancshares, Inc. Tim was involved with the other Cofounders for all aspects of the bank’s formation, including the business plan, board and management team structure and recruitment, the initial capital raise, and regulatory approval. Tim has been in banking for 39 years and has a passion for high performance team-building and thoroughly enjoys the success of the entire team.

Dan Boeckermann

Dan is Cofounder and Chairman of the EntreBank Board as well as CEO and Director of Entrepreneurs Bancshares, Inc. He has extensive experience working with family-owned and closely-held businesses in a variety of capacities. Dan served on three separate bank boards and cofounded Venture Bank, which was sold in 2018. He’s a CPA, Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). Dan was a Cofounder and Managing Partner of an accounting firm, and Cofounder and Chairman of a registered advisory firm and a trust company.

Dan enjoys helping his clients achieve their goals in all facets of their business. He looks forward to water skiing every summer and can hardly wait for the ice to melt every spring.
